The mission statement of the Heart Gallery of Butler County, Ohio is to enable children living in foster care in our communities to realize and attain their dream of finding loving, committed adoptive families to call their own. Also, to educate and raise awareness about the many children who desperately need and deserve the shelter and love of a family they can call their own.
What is the Heart Gallery?
The Heart Gallery of Butler County, Ohio, is a group of professionals assembled by local photographer Angie Dowers. In an effort to raise adoption awareness and to help locate permanent adoptive homes for these extraordinary children, who are waiting on a loving and commited family. Angie creates unique portraits of these girls and boys that draw attention to the child's real personality. It is our hope that these portraits touch the heart of all who view them. The Heart Gallery of Butler County, Ohio is modeled after the orginal Heart Gallery, created in New Mexico in 2001. Angie and the other Heart Gallery volunteers offer their time and talents by creating these heartfelt images and showcasing the many children available for adoption in a traveling display that makes its rounds throughout the communities in Butler County.
